LittlePrayer-Quake-Devistation Metal Destiny by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

Doom really introduced me into FPS games but being a console player it wasn't until a local music composer in my small town whom I frequently visited to learn more about Midi and making music introduced me to the game. It was a few years afterwords my cousin got a powerful PC for his schooling that I was able to play another break out title.

Quake was magic on screen when every other game was 2D in my life, this game came along and introduced me to 3D dark hallways and blood covered monsters trying to rip me apart. Quake became a mainstay for me after that but because I was console I never got to play quake on console and even missed the N64 port. Then Quake 2 and Quake 3 Arena came out and totally blew my young mind, the game play was fast and frantic with all sorts of punishing enemies and bosses, Then it happened...PS1 got Quake 2 an amazing original port of the game with some kind of high tech wizardry. I played that game hardcore when I got my hands on a copy and still have it to this very day, Trent Reznor did the music for the first game and a band I was unfamiliar with called Sonic Mayhem did the Playstation music. Many years later Mick Gordon came along and ID brought out Doom 2016 and made my head spin. Now I am playing the original Quake on PS5 and it still to this day blows my mind how ahead of its time the game was an of course the music and sounds.

I am such a fan of the original quake games I decided to try my hand at a modern style original track of my own making that combined Sonic Mayhem and Mick Gordon together but still making the track have my own flair to it.

This was the final result.

@BadKarma: Thank you thank you I try my best when it comes to paying respect to original game series or movies when I do my own take on the music.

It's funny, despite the Quake engine literally being the bedrock of Valve's success, and thereby a key progenitor of the FPS genre at large, I never actually played any of the original series.

@Thorvald:* Which is odd considering Valve constantly bragged about how they were able to create their own original engines from scratch. Gabe is a joke at this point I loved how he called the Playstation down and then when PS3 became popular how he groveled and begged fans because he was bringing out Portal 2 onto the system. But considering how much steam pennies he is making at this time who cares about building new game engines or making games anymore.*
