Welcome to the Deep Delve, where I go through works so old they were never rehosted after ImageShack conked out. This was a tribute to the CivFanatics user Chukchi Husky in 2008, who despite a crippling inferiority complex is widely regarded as one of the best artists seen on the site (and who, if I'm lucky, might even be swayed over here). All the more incredible is he'd manage these sketches without a proper studio and while plagued with vision issues. As taillesskangaru pithily summed up three years later: "So basically you're saying you can create great visual art while half-blind ie. you're basically the Beethoven of drawing."

This was my very first non-DYOS sketch shared with CFC (and probably the wider Internet in general), done four months after my public début. As such, it's riddled with all the proportion errors of my early work, though as the painting demonstrates it's almost not-bad if I'm not drawing eyes. :p
