LittlePrayer-Walk In Place Tekken Inspired Track by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

The Tekken series was a major inspiration to me as a music composer thanks to the insane sounding music it offered as an audio feast for the ears. Besides Soul Calibur, Tekken was a series I regard highly as on of the best if not THE best 3D fighting ongoing franchises to ever be made. Since my introduction to Tekken on PS1 I have played EVERY iteration of the game hundreds of times over.

So as the Ultimate homage to the game series I decided to try my hand at doing music that was inspired by the Tekken series, this would go on to be a very popular series of music I started to do and 2 more tracks were made after this one, this one however was actually my SECOND attempt at this kind of music.

This time I wanted something truly hard hitting as much a possible like a boss battle or a sub boss fight.

As someone who literally only knows Tekken by name... I need to look into the soundtrack.

… while I'm not a very big Tekken player, I have played Tekken before. The set-up isn't really my favorite (find myself enjoying Soul Edge/Soul Caliber so much more than Tekken), but the music has always been a banger, and you sir did not fall short at all!

@mouse: Thank you VERY much for that comment, my FIRST game I played on Playstation was Tekken 1 and since then I have played EVERY Tekken game. Soul Calibur was a different beast while I liked it I hated Seigfried SO much and Nightmare cause of their cheap knockback combos. Tekken is more strategic and won't allow you to button mash like Soul Calibur does its why I prefer Tekken over Soul Calibur, still though love to demolish the AI with Mitsurugi from time to time.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: See, I'm something of the opposite; I love Soul Caliber (Seung Mina is my GAL4LYFE) and not that big of a fan of Tekken. While I played Tekken first (which made me apprehensive for trying out Soul Caliber), Tekken was perhaps a little too strategic for me while I could comfortably button mash with Soul Caliber and occasionally, y'know, win a fight or two. Not so lucky with Tekken in that respect, so I didn't constantly play the Tekken series of games. That gave me some massive gaps in my experience; I went from Tekken to Tekken 4, then back to Tekken 3, and I believe I've witnessed a Tekken 6 in some arcades (the few that still exist)? While I haven't played every single title in the Soul Caliber/Soul Edge line, I do have my favorites! I'm admittedly more of a 2D fighting game fan, to be honest.

@mouse: That's fair. Playing Street Fighter 6 right now while waiting for Tekken 8 and LOVING the new game mechanics. To be fair I played Soul Blade on Playstation 1 and ALL the Soul Calibur games starting on dreamcast and all the way up to PS4. The last Soul Calibur left a lot to be desired and I didn't like that Kilik had moves taken away and that Mitsurugi was kinda neutered as well. I honestly play Soul cal for the story mode but the last story mode with static cut scenes and voice acting made the game feel cheaply made and rushed. Here is hoping if Namco does another entry to the series that they do as good with it as they did with Tekken, Tekken 7 was my JAM and the ONLY game I have literally platinumed on Playstaion 4, how could I not with freaking Akuma from SF in it. At some point and time I intend to visit Soul Calibur music but not at this stage I have too many projects on the go. I like Soul Calibur but as stated before Tekken is my Jam and I know its not for everyone.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: See, generally speaking I just pick a character or two and stick with them. Was never a Kilik/Mitsurugi main with any of the Soul Edge/Soul Caliber games, but I branched out from my GAL4LYFE Seung Mina when she wasn't playable by default in… I believe it was Soul Caliber 4 on the PS3? Instead I side-mained Hildegard as well as Rock (inasmuch as I made custom characters using both of them as templates; my Hildegard was "Zeraida" and my Rock was "Terry"). This actually resulted in a hilarious Custom Story completion where not only did Terry Ring Out Algol (who by the way has Ring-Out Protection S), but after Algol fell, Terry called over the side of the cliff, "Effort doesn't equal victory, dumbass!"
