Dark Kitsunes is a long project being created back in 1987 when after reading lord of the rings and playing CastleVania in the NES, I decided I wanted to create a rich dark world where the forces of Good and Evil would constantly be at war with one another on a living world that had grown tired of the battles fought on it and has awakened to swallow mankind and all races. Enter Kaize Dienstien the son of a king gone mad at the death of his wife when kaize was born and who was the son of a cruel and sadistic ruler Balthazar Dienstien, the name Crux added to the Dienstien lineage of rulers sons and daughters would be etched into the minds and legends for many years to come. Would Kaize be the world's savoir or its ultimate destroyer.

Done in 2018, this track was made to represent a few key scenes for my Dark Kitsunes ongoing project of the same name where the main characters were escaping an angry mob that were chasing them due to the characters themselves being blamed for supernatural crimes they did not commit but were in fact trying to stop. They escape into a heavily forested area known only as Devil Wood. It is here where the characters come across a horrible creature called the Mamelloouke and have to fight for their lives to survive only for a few of them to not make it out of the woods alive.

I wanted to convey a sense of intensity and almost feeling of helplessness as the characters struggle to escape the dreaded wood where not even the mob would DARE to step foot into. I also wanted to keep as close to the Dark Kitsune feel at the same time hence the Dark Kitsunes main theme and even a few character theme's thrown into the mix.

This is an older piece but represents the hard work and dedication to telling a gripping story without words that can only be done using sound as it allows the audience to see the entire story unfold in their imaginations.
