choxorn handing his script back to me actually turned out to be something of a boon, at least for scheduling purposes. Alternating between chox and Hannibal was useful in that they're pursuing two sides to what is ultimately the same puzzle. choxorn, being a Chosen One, wants to know what the Gem does; Hannibal is the only person who is taking the time to learn the history behind it. Between them, the reader clues in to the full picture.
