Oh wow! That is is so pretty! I have just one question, where did the inspiration for the markings come from? Or was it just a random thought? They make her look so elegant

Okay. Remember that picture of the white lupess that everyone was like "her shoulders are off" and I drew this ouline thing to show ppl that I know how to draw? koff
Well, scratch that crappy picture all together. This is the same lupess, but she got a change. This is Roxanne. She never really was white to begin with, so the owner decided to keep her blue. She allowed me to add on markings (she wanted markings, but let me design them). I hope she approves. So, this is what Roxanne looks like. ^^; I enjoyed coloring this one, cuz I like her purty fur and I played with her eyes a little, so they're not totally purple but not pink either.. Her owner wanted to give her some eye color that was different, and I dunno.. this is different. She found purple/amathyst was over used (which I agree) and she didn't think silver or gray would stand out enough and she didn't want green or blue.. and myself, I think brown would be too plain/dull for her. (Not that I'm saying brown eyes are plain >>; ) But anyways.. I'm rambling.. so yeah.
Hope yeh like it.. err.. (I would say your name but I dunno if you want ppl to know it.. ^^; So I won't say it) I'll just call ye Eclipes (after yer neopets alias)

Usually when I make markings they don't come from any one inspiration, they just come from spur of the moment. ^^; If I really want to think more about the markings, I'll do some research on something or another, but for the most part, the markings I make on my characters are completely random. ^^'

wow purdy..purdy lupess! Nice job on the coloring Julie! and the markings are very cool and all i have to say is PURDY LUPESS! Im gonna have to say i like this one better than the last pic of her...the last one was good in all but this one is purdiful ((yes i like the word purdy)) So yup pretty lupess pretty pic i kno her owner will love it and if she doesnt i will eat my shoes!

Ahhh, this is beatimous :)
I don't know the lupess, but this pic (in addition to being anatomically sound) has quite a bit more personality than the earlier one. I do like the eye color, it is a shade lighter than the eyes of my lupess Serendipity...and the markings are very nice--subtle, elegant, but pretty.

Ah yes, the eye color hassle...I know how that goes. It's odd, all the characters I don't have an eye color specifically planned for end up with green eyes. (Unless they're evil, at which time their eyes automatically become blue. Odd, no?) Hm....

0__o'' you dunno how good ya gots it XD well, ok, so family life, may not be the best (alot of ppl's family's arn't good, heh like me 0_o) not saying yours isent, erg, anyway to get my point across, I like her eyes, very pink, but not yet so o.0;;; and erg, yeah I dunno I tinks you can draw. unlike meh hack hack koff but, alas alot of us can't in this world. erg, I'm going on, anywho, just saying this is really really great.

Nah, the other once sucked big time, don't be afraid to say it.. cuz it's totally true. I put more effort into this one, and the girl that wanted it was really being patient with me and not saying a million times over "is it done yet, is it done yet, is it done yet?" cuz that bugs me. XD;; But I likes this one lots better yep. =D

Wow Julie! This one is so amazing! The other one wasn't THAT bad but this one is SO AWESOME! I love the eyes and the marks and the fur and oh wait I love everything! lol. ^_^ I read the comment earlier about the markings, which is actually something I was gonna ask, and I was wondering how do you do the research for the marks? I mean if you do decide to do research. Do you just go to random sites or is there a certain one? And if there is a certain one would you mind telling me? I need some marks for some of my characters....if you don't wanna say the site that's ok though! I was just curious. :)

I actually don't have a specific site I use, I just go and hunt down what I need if I need to research. Like I had to do some research for some tatoos on San's arm, and on Lucas as well, to make them look correct and everything. So yeah, I just have to search around the web for photos or something I can use for markings I need. Other wise, they're made up. ^^

Man, julie, this is so beautiful. I don't really think that you should care about what other people think about your anatonamy, I think that your pictures really don't look like wolves, they are alot more beautiful, don't get me wrong, wolves are my second fave animal. You put alot of hard work into this stuff, and if you guys don't like it, Julie does. It dosen't really matter with what they think, as long as you are happy with it. :)

Well, as nice as that is for you to point out, I know what you mean and all.. but I kinda find it a tad insulting that you would sit here and star at the picture and TRY to find something wrong with it. I mean, if it was obvious at first glance then so be it, but it just seems a little odd that you would go out of your way to find what it is that bothers you about the picture.... could be just me. Thanx anyways for helping. I think I do tend to put the nose a little too low on the face, but last time I put it where it belongs, someone though it was a cat... ~le sigh~ I can never win...

I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to. And I didn't stare at this or any other pic. I actually learned this off a picture that I drew. My friend corrected me and when I was going through your gallery I noticed that it was the same problem. But, like I said, it's a great pic, I like the shading and schtuff like that. Good work Julie!

I really like her eyes.. e-e And this looks waaay better then the last one. xD; You must tell meh your secret to making markings... mine look all the same.. -_-
