Te Papa Tongarewa, the National Museum of New Zealand, Wellington. Admission to the main galleries is free, and a good thing, too: proper viewing of the permanent exhibits would probably take three full days on their own, to say nothing of the special showcases. At the time it was doing an exhibit on Imperial China (hence the flag), which even if it wasn't paid admission we wouldn't have had time to see anyway.
