If you have spare calorie credit for the day, you can just, like, drink it. It's p good, as far as dairy products go. Seriously, though? Ma would mix it with mozzarella and use that to stuff manicotti. A pizza place I used to frequent would put globs of it on their white pie. Ricotta, garlic, and some dark green stuff like broccoli or spinach on a pizza is kinda awesome.

I forgot about things like manicotti and ziti.

It also seems to be this new yuppie thing where they use it as a condiment in burgers in trendy hipster places.

Crikey. I can only imagine the cost a burger with (real) ricotta. That's got to start somewhere between $15-17 USD, I'd guess.

I don't live in the States.

But you've guessed right.

Lasagne. :D

Y'know I knows some Arabs that put egg in Lasagne.

Popular with the Lebanese apparently. I've had it, it's nice and makes it more filling.

Yeah, I've heard that too. Speaking of Arabs, I went to an Arab fast food place today.

For me it is just for enhancing my lactose intolerance :P Even though it's supposedly "less lactose". According to Google 68% of people are lactose intolerant, for Asians it's about 70-100%. Not sure if ghee or plant-alternative ricotta exists but I'm sure different people will use it for different things.

Well... Vegan ghee would just be vegetable/olive/rice bran oil etc.

Yeah, there's some pretty good vegan cheeses though. Just not sure on the existent of ricotta. Also fun fact, traditionally "ghee" just means "filtered butter or oil". It's often used to refer to vegetable oil in Southern Asia. So there's a chance with buying ghee you're just buying vegetable oil :3

Yeh but ah, clarified butter isn't unique to South Asia.

Historically the process existed in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, East Africa and Central Asia for a long time too.

If I went to Kerala and bought ghee and found out it was just canola oil. I'd conquer Kerala, Telangana, Andra Pradesh, Karnatika, Tamil Nadu and fucking Jaffna would be called Tamil Elam by the time I was done.

It'd be their KING!

Yeah I mean more the word "ghee" itself historically means more than just butter. So you have to be extra careful of what you're getting when buying it, for butter ghee you'd be looking for "usil ghee".

I don't have to be careful about nothing.

I am dreaded firangi!

I eat gold and jewels, and I shun the company of women in favour of the severed heads of their husbands. I will hold all of Bharat hostage with threats to destroy the sun.

If they try to call my bluff, I'll blow up the moon to show them I'm serious.

Fair, but watch out for the dreaded popping candy.
