Flag of the Federation of Petrograd
Flag of the Federation of Petrograd by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

The Federation of Petrograd was Virote_Considon's country in my own Imperium Offtopicum IV and its sequel, The Aftermath. It was a relatively quiet player in the early game, allying with me and largely disregarding the three main blocs, until the Third World War began and he became ensnared in a war with China that turned nuclear. In The Aftermath, Petrograd basically served as the Hetmanate's attack dog, specifically against the Marian Republic, for which it earned Taniciusfox's parting nuke in a harebrained scheme to provoke a global war. Unfortunately for Tani, you don't become word police through a non-proliferation doctrine if you're gonna start lobbing nukes; the response was an immediate conventional invasion by his horrified neighbours as part of an international intervention, and he ragequit the game, hoping to take command of the postapocalyptic 'barbarian' faction.

This was originally uploaded to the now-defunct IOT Wiki in 2016, replacing Virote's original raster, which was a pretty rough image. Combines the flag of Russia with the lesser coat of arms of St. Petersburg; despite occupying most of European Russia by the end of the first game and effectively assuming suzerainty of the minor NPCs that had consolidated by the second, Virote pointedly refused to refer to the state as Russia.
