look ma, she CAN draw.. XP by @odduckoasis (Julie Ottosen)

Okay.. here. I did a 'fixup' of the picture of Roxanne for all you "that anatomy is off and blah blah blah"... so you can see that I DO know my anatomy and that yes I KNOW that it was off. I'm not a moron. XP I will be redoing that picture cuz now it has sufficently bothered me enough. But this is just to show ya'll that I do know what I'm doing, but I do appreciate ppl pointing stuff out to me and I know I should always try to do my best, but you know.. I am only human... and sometimes.. I'm just a lazy-arse. XD;;;;

Heh.. thanx... >> Not that it's anything all that great... just a lines showing that I know how anatomy works.... anyways... um. thanx. XD;;; Keep practicing and you'll be a great artist someday. (not saying that I am, but all the same. ^^)

You mean Adobe? Well, that's kinda hard to help anyone with.. especially over the internet. I don't know what good it would do... I took a college class and learned stuff about it... >>' it's a complex program... I think it would be best if you got yourself a book from a computure store, that's more than a manual that shows all helpful hints and stuff for Adobe, and just experiment... that's all anyone can really do... good luck. ^^;;

Im surprised any one would complain about how you draw,i love your drawing and would never insult them in any way.^_~

I can't believe you axually bother to do that anatomy stuff. I'm in art school and we don't even bother to do that yet....... but its good that you do it anyway (I don't, I can't really see the point of it well I can't but I hate it). Any way great job Julie!

Kindly read the description on this picture. I did this to show that I do know my anatomy, as in the picture before this, some ppl suggested that I need to pick up some anatomy book on canines. Which almost adds injury to insult, by suggesting that just because a picture isn't exactly right that the artist doesn't actually know their anatomy. I also find drawing outlines and cyindars and things like this stupid but useful for the beginning artist. Like I said, I put this up to show that I DO know my anatomy and that ppl don't need to assume that I need to get training on anatomy after all the pictures I've uploaded until know, it makes me want to say "How dare you suggest that I need to learn anatomy... am I drawing stick figures here?" Anyways.. thank you still for the kind words and support. But, also, I am still going to redo that picture cuz if I don't... it will just bug everyone too much and then I'll stop uploading pictures cuz I won't want to hear any more crap from everyone.. so yeah.

XD;;; Thanx

Julie just because a couple of people say things doesn't mean you should prove yourself and all.I agree doing that stuff is a waste of time even though I'm not that good at positions, but if I work on it for a long time the picture turns out good.

Yeesh, if I knew so many people were sheep I wouldn't have given a criticism. Ah well. hugglz Sorry for starting that.

As far as anatomy...hehe, I have to say, I'm the only person I know who does draw that way. For some odd reason, I can't draw a pic worth beans if I don't sculpt it--so I lay down a stick-figure skeleton, flesh it out, and stick on fur. Quite methodical...and also rather weird, I guess. Ah well. shrug I'm not much of an artist anyway.

Sorry again

Don't be sorry.. didn't know you were a sheep herder. XD;;; ^_~ Anyways.. I know there are a lot of ppl that draw like that actually.. myself I just don't because it doesn't work for me.. I also don't like to have to bother w/ erasing all the lines of the sculpted lines to get to the finished protuct. Don't get me wrong, I don't put down drawing in that method, it just doesn't work for me personally, though if I want to be an animator.. I better start using it more... >>;;;

Hey, Jules, I didn't say that you NEEDED to study canine anatomy. I didn't know you had a puppeh-doggeh... cries This one does look better, but I'm not really in the mood to do one of my usual ravings... sulks off

I hope I didn't upset you Cloudy... I didn't mean to. This picture was just meant to represent that yes, I do know how to draw and I know my anatomy... and it was a nice gesture to suggest me getting an anatomy dog book, but again, sorta suggesting that I don't know it... I hope you feel better and I didn't mean to make you feel bad or anything.. geez.. this day just keeps getting better... =*(

I suppose I ought to apologize also =P I'm sorry Julie!! I really didn't mean to irritate or aggravate you, and I didn't quite realize quite how many people felt the need to comment on the anatomy beforehand. I understand that it must be frustrating to have people point out a flaw repeatedly, even if you already know it's there. So I guess I'll just be more careful in the future to not re-emphasize anything that's been already been analyzed to death by other people =P Yup...So...sorry once again =] ~Roxanne

Out of all the comments why was I the one who you got annoyed at? Yeah, I must be the person who can get screamed at... everyone yells at me. I dont care anymore.. sigh

And now you can yell at me too if you want.. koff But anyway... Im glad you do know anatomy... (thinks thats a dumb thing to say... o.o)

Yikes.... things got a little tense for awhile there, huh? lol...

huggles Julie Tis hard to take criticism gracefully when people keep offering the exact same comments over and over, no? lol... Makes ya wonder if sometimes people think you can't read, don't it... Anyway, no one thinks you're a moron (at least, no one IMPORTANT). We all know you're brilliant and talented, (and brilliantly talented lol) so no worries. picks up a spiked club and bodyguards Julie for the next time people forget how to lay off

Oh, and Sharon? Instead of deciding that you don't care about people always yelling at you, maybe you should wonder WHY they always yell at you. Think about it, huh?

In all fairness, people don't get pissed at you when you critique their anatomy. You should think about that.

Posted: Sunday, 16 February, 2003 @ 08:52 PM

In even more fairness.. other ppl don't have 20 comments repeating all the same critque. once is enough. Thank you. And I put this up because some ppl just assume I don't know anatomy. I'm not saying I'm perfect or anything.. far from it, but it isn't nessicary for ppl to repeat flaws over and over. And at first, i was just fine with someone telling me the flaws in it, and I was like "okay, yeah, I see that.." but when I hear it from every single person then afterwards, it starts to get quite annoying, so in all fairness, I think I have the right to speak my mind.
