Kier’yat Female
Kier’yat Female by @Agondray

A concept for a fantasy race I made up for a story of mine when I was still in high school.

Here’s some basic context for them.

The Kier’yat are a race of anthropomorphic wolf/husky people that have been around on Eden for almost as long as Humans have. Most of them usually tend to reside in the world’s colder or more temperate regions, as their fur-covered bodies allow them to tolerate these climates better than Humans can naturally. Like the creatures they resemble, they are primarily carnivores, but can will sometimes eat grains and the occasional plant matter if need be. Kier’yat society is mainly clan-based, with family and loyalty being highly valued in the cultures of most clans. Although not quite as technologically advanced as Humans, Kier’yats have shown a surprising amount of ingenuity in their craftsmanship of tools and weapons. Like Humans, Kier’yats also have regional variations within their species. These variations range from the smaller and short-furred desert Kier’yat to the tall, triple-fur coated Kier’yat of the mountains with various others types in various regions. Indeed, these canine folk are an interesting bunch, being able to fit in to Human society much better than the Dromads; who have a reputation for being thieves.

I was going for a manga/anime style for the designs of these fellas, as my idea for the story that they are in is very manga-based in terms of art style and certain other aspects.

This the female version. Hope you like it!

Once we've debunked the Alpha Myth, the closest actual human analogue would be a clan network. I happen to have employed the framework for a race of lycanthropes in a short-lived countryRP several years back; I've been meaning to publish assorted development notes on unrealized in-game plans, and have been considering adapting the universe for standalone spinoff stories.

@Thorvald: Very interesting indeed!

If you have the time and resources for those plans, I would say go for it!
