This is amazing. I've never been to New Zealand but this image makes me want to visit.

@WynautWarrior: Best trip of my life. Granted almost all my accommodation was provided for so I can't advise pricing, but even Auckland felt far less hectic than most of the big city tourist traps. The only major trade-off is once you get on the mountain roads, the drivers are absolute maniacs and take blind corners at 100KPH—unlike Australia, there's no dangerous endemic wildlife, so Kiwis invent their own thrills. :^)
