Black Dragon Resting
Black Dragon Resting by @Agondray

The second painting I entered for the “We Are All Artists” show at the Butler Art Center and Gallery! I almost pulled off an ‘all-nighter’ working on this, taking me about 8 hours to complete! I was very tired and ready to hit the bed by the time I was done.

Pretty much the same story as with the previous one. I was in the mood to do some more painting after doing the art class pics, and decided to whip out some old paints and canvases that my sister left behind.

This one was done using regular acrylic paint, which did make things a bit easier for me. My color options were actually more limited than with the heavy duty stuff, so I had to get a little creative. I’m really proud of how it turned out! I might have went a little overboard with the light reflections, but oh well.

Both paintings will be for sale at the art show. I had this one priced at $80. It has now been SOLD!

Reminds me of my cat after the warm towels come out of the dryer. If I'm not on guard, he'll be sitting on the pile, looking regal and proud like this dragon.

Does this one have a name or any lore? It looks like there is a story waiting to be told in this scene.

@Cynicallia: Pffhehehe! I think my sister’s cat does something similar! XD

I didn’t really think of a name or story behind this guy. He’s kinda just a random black dragon. Though, I guess I could try writing a story with him in it. Perhaps he can be one of the dragons that appears in the story I originally had for this old pic!
