Sketchbook Fruitcake
Sketchbook Fruitcake by @Agondray

High school sketchbook drawing #23. The fourth and final Christmas-themed one.

With this one I decided to go with something that was a little bit obscure, but was still considered something that is traditionally associated with Christmas. I’ve only had fruitcake once or twice in my life, as I remember that it wasn’t even nearly as bad as some people claim it to be. In fact, I thought it tasted fairly good. I guess it just depends on who makes it and how it was made.

Anyways, this is another simple piece. I used the ever so famous sweetroll from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as reference, in case you couldn’t tell. I added a little holly berry in the corner to give it that extra Christmas pizzazz. Another simple but effective piece in my opinion.

If anybody here has the temptation to try to make this fruitcake sweetroll in real life for future holidays, feel free to do so! Also feel free to tell me how it turned out!

A thousand times this. The stuff you buy off the shelf is, surprise surprise, mass-produced, with the quality thereof. Homemade Christmas cake by someone that knows what they're doing is so rich you literally can't eat more even if you wanted to. tl;dr: Accept No Substitutes.

@Thorvald: I definitely agree! Anything homemade, especially with fresh and natural ingredients, tends to taste WAY better than anything you find in a store or supermarket.
