The Sapphire Sword
The Sapphire Sword by @Agondray

The reason I have this labeled as “Still Life” is because I drew this in the exact same detail as a plastic sword I bought from a Halloween store. The actual thing looks a generic ornamental fantasy sword.

This was going to be the main item/weapon that the protagonist and her friends were searching for and then use throughout the story of what I originally called ‘Sapphire Sword’. This is the same universe that the Kier’yat race and the Giant Sea Serpent are a part of.

From when I first started working on the series in high school to now, it has gone through some changes. For example, I decided to use the Sapphire Sword name for a separate project, and to rename this series ‘The Tales of the Silver Sword’ or ‘The Silver Sword Chronicles’. Yeah, the sword itself went from being sapphire to silver. I’m not even sure anymore if I actually want this to be the final design for the sword, but I thought the drawing was too cool and well-detailed to let it go to waste. Maybe for a different project in the future . . .

I’ve got WAY too many ideas for several series.

Oof, I know that feel: My oldest extant characters date back to before I was even in school. :x

Given the detail to the pommel, I can only imagine how this looks coloured.

@Thorvald: Honestly, I have some weird and interesting ways of incorporating old things and characters of mine into more recent ideas or ones series that they weren’t originally going to be in.

I have imagined the sword having the whole handle being a gold/steel alloy with the blade being made of a very strong, enchanted sapphire.
