My Comments:

Yaaay!!! My first Marmalade Boy picture, at LAST!! ^^ I love this series!! Neh, Molly-chan? (we both got obsessed w/ it at the same time XD). Well, I've only read the first manga and watched the first episode (they're REALLY hard to find), I still think it's so cute XD. I can't wait to read or see more! (Although Miki's seiyuu is annoying ¬¬**)

This is a popular picture from the series that I've reproduced here, only with rather significant differences. Anyone who's see the original image will probably notice one thing most: the large difference in lighting. I adore Wataru Yoshizumi's artwork (artist of MB) a lot, but with her manga pictures I like to put more shading into them when it seems right, or they seem so flat otherwise. And so, yes, present is the bold black shading again, I'm getting addicted to that!! XD!!! ^^ I wanted to give the strong illusion of sunlight by adding a lot of yellows and oranges to contrast the blues and greens in their clothing and background. Once again, Derwents were used, only 12 pencils! ^^ So if you ever feel down for only having 12 colours, don't feel bad! They can do a lot :-)

I admit I was really sloppy on this pic ^^;;; I kinda rushed it b/c I have a bit of homework I SHOULD be doing other than this, LOL, so the colouring was sloppy on the faces, which is why I decided to Smart Blur that using Adobe, so the faces didn't look so scratchy. The rest of it is still in it's original pencil form.

Oh and PS: The title was a play on words. You is the boy's name.. and Miki is the girl's name.. you and mi ^^ Thanks for viewing and I hope you enjoyed! ^^

Peace. Love. Anime.

I am so jealous of your talent... everytime I see your art up here, I just wish I could be half that good. ::insert more of Li-chan's self pity here:: Anyways, this picture is really good, the shading is awesome. It definetly looks more 3D than the original. The play on words is great as well. I hope you keep uploading, even though I'm jealous I really love seeing your art.
