There are alot of threads who have their last posts in the 2010s- should we let them lie or bring them revive?
I mean, if it's relevant or a game you want to continue, I don't see why reviving old threads would be a bad thing. shrug

I've always maintained if the post is on topic and it's not, like, trying to dig up an old fight, necroing isn't a problem. Over on CivFanatics, certain mods have become strangely aggressive about shutting down revived threads, even if they're relatively young, and it drives me crazy.
(DeviantArt having a hard lock after a month is one of several reasons I almost never use their forums.)
ok, uh. new bug. I tried to revive this thread and it broke.
Edit: nvm it worked actually, just showed me the error screen
Yeah, I got an error on post but the post itself went through. There have been a few episodes of the forum producing 500 Errors when browsing and I don't know if they were ever traced; it might be part of the same problem.
I'll keep an eye out for it. And I'll look through the logs for what the problem might be. Thanks for the head's up.

I occasionally necro threads in any online forums, and it depends on the forums in question
Necromancy, baby! Parroting Thorvald, I revive old posts if I find them to be interesting and my contribution is on topic.
