DYOS 9: Quest for Cohesion

Twenty Years
Twenty Years by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

My 34th submission to DYOS XII: [link]

"DRAW Your Own Story!", a spin-off of several writing-relay threads, was posted by CivCube 17 July 2003, launching a much more successful franchise. I knew I wanted to put something up for the anniversary; I'd originally hoped to pick up a trailer comic for the current thread spoofing Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which I'd begun before DYOS 12 went to air and that has lingered incomplete ever since; unfortunately bureaucratic BS shanghaied what was supposed to be my "free week" last June.

Fortunately, "A Brief History of CivGeneral" struck me earlier in the year, so I knew I had a ready fall-back. As usual, I wound up redlining, but apart from Peter's Anime Eyes in Panel 2, this turned out quite good.

@Camazotz: God, imagine growing up in the DYOSverse. XD

Admittedly it's ground to a glacial drip-feed these days, but a few True Believers keep the torch burning.

Plus if CG doesn't cough up the goods, I'll repurpose it as a furry comic. >:3

@Camazotz: "give us a reason to stay after the last person we truly trusted just told us to run."

The first time as tragedy,

The second time as farce.
