Ever since hearing about planets being found around red dwarf stars I tried to imagine how it might look like there, much darker and reddish than our sun, it must make things on the surface of the planets there gloomy and unsettling, at least to our eyes not evolved for such a place.

This is really well done. How did you do the texture on the star?

@BadKarma: Thanks! The texture is handpainted, just drew a pattern of dots getting thinner towards the edges to imply a sphere, and made the layer half transparent ontop of a red-dark orange mixed layer.
