I did this in december of last year and it has become my favorite piece of non-character work that I've ever drawn, to date, at least. :]

It has a very serene feeling to it compared to "did you ever expect to understand?". I think it's mainly the moon that does it.

Just yesterday I was wondering where you'd got to..! I'd been mulling over those early-2000s puzzle adventure games with their a e s t h e t i c locations, so this strikes me at a fortunate time. :D
