i actually,, am nottt 100% sure if there is? xD much point to posting this sort of work here? side7 is a wonderful site in many ways but I dunno that I see many people posting anything similar - like, the sort of conceptual/emotional pieces I often make. and idk since it's very much not like social media here where you need to be chasing numbers it seems like a much better place to connect over similar art interests! and idk if there's many here who would connect with me over this sort of thing specifically.

maybe I'll start just posting OC content here in the future perhaps :0 other than like. at whatever point i manage to finish that CYOA game and can announce it lol

Trying to respond to this has actually fried my brain. XD At first I thought you were anxious that veering into moody/philosophical pieces would alienate the audience here. Then a half-hour into my reply, after multiple re-readings I realized you're really wondering if you should pivot out of landscapes in favour of the character art dominating the front page.

My gallery is such a grab-bag of whatever strikes my whim that I sometimes forget people curate for quote-unquote branding. My reflex response is Post Everything; a lot of people I follow both here and elsewhere work in a range of styles and themes, and while my Sisyphean struggle to sell Side 7 proves I have no business acumen, I would think a diverse portfolio is more a help than a hindrance. Plus the site's userbase skews heavily creator-centric and the regulars are pretty personable, so I like to think the people you do pick up are in it for the journey.

I know I am.

@Thorvald: heck I'm glad to hear you think that's the case! ^^ haha sorry for my extremely confusing brain-frying post 😂 yeah I guess I basically just want the opportunity to connect with ppl in whichever artistic communities I set up shop in. given that side7 is Mostly character art and less conceptual/scenery-type pieces, my mind is going those places of wondering if I can put down more roots if I take the soil into account for what kinds of things I post.

but I'm glad to hear you think that regulars around here aren't necessarily looking for a particular type of "branding" or anything like that. :] maybe I'll just start posting everything like you suggested 😂

First, wow! This piece is beautiful ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️  Such strong emotions ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Second, I'm in a similar page, I also questioned the same and I decided to go for it. I think the good aspect of Side 7 is that we are not pressured to post stuff that is appealing for a massive audience and, instead, I like that we get to share more personal work. Myself I want to post those more emotional and surreal pieces that I don't feel ok sharing in other sites and I would love to see more people doing something similar ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fascinating piece. You have such an interesting collection of art, I cannot say I care whether you post landscapes or characters or whatever else you create; it's all been very amazing. There shouldn't be any pressure to favor a trend. By all means, POST EVERYTHING!!
