The first of four Halloween related drawings for the ol’ sketchbook.
I know it is already past the holiday season, and the next one is going to be a while till it arrives. But, I still feel like sharing my old art with all of you, even if it’s not October.
Feet aren’t exactly accurate, but I think this bat looks alright. The reason his head its head is facing sideways is because I wasn’t really that good at making forward-facing . . . well, faces, at the time. So I decided to improvise with what I was good at drawing.

@Thorvald: Surprisingly, forward-facing human faces are actually easier for me to draw than animal ones. I’ve improved a bit now than I was then, but for a while I usually messed up animal faces that faced forward. I tried doing it with one of my dinosaur characters, and it just looks SO weird.
But yeah, now that you mentioned it, I can definitely see the appeal.
...I think most people become furries because animals are easier. :P
