(Abandoned/scrapped) Forest
(Abandoned/scrapped) Forest by @ragukokarn

I don't care for this one, but maybe some else does. It has been sitting on my hard drive some quite some time and I really don't know what else to do with it.

I think there is a limitation to what kind of style fusion one can get away with and this ain't it :)

Could have been worse I guess.

@marven4lyf:Thank you! Probably should have done it differently from the start, but - eh. Glad someone enjoys it!

@ragukokarn: It happens! I definitely have a few pieces I considered scrapping but posted anyway

Exqueeze me, mid-2000s adventure RPG is a great style! :^) Though I think I can see what you mean: I played around with the Operation Flashpoint worldbuilder once and "natural" randomness is tricky to get right.

@Thorvald:

True, I am thinking about the sort of stuff you would see in the late nineties cd rom games - so it is not off by a lot :)

The biggest issue is that I intended on doing something completely different with this but decided to just not go bother. There were supposed to be a purple cat (!) in the middle, as suggested very randomly when I asked a friend of mine.

At the time of making this, I really had no idea how to even do that without constucting the poor thing the same way I would do "pixel" art :D Turns out there was this little kind of famous program for doing those things.

Not that it would have made this much better, but still.

This is simply pretty to look at. I love little environment pics like this!

In a way, it kinda reminds of the overworld aesthetic of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
