Cato
Cato by @bobambee (Bam Bee)

Well, originally they weren’t going to be pink, but they are now XD Pink and green combinations are my favorite, maybe because of watermelons?? I liked how the hat turned out! ^^ I’m debating whether I’ll re use them for a re design of a heart themed, possibly cupid, character I haven’t quite touched on for a bit. Or should I leave them be? Would a sketch side by side make more sense to help judge that?

So I'm guessing this is Cato the Younger. :B

@Thorvald: ohh, that Cato! Saying I just added o to cat doesn’t feel as inspiring as this xP

@bobambee: Overthink and underproduce, that's my motto. B^)

@Thorvald: XD Translating to thoughtful story and comic genius B^D I swear I’m getting pointers from seeing your stuff, comic making eludes me rn

@bobambee: Actually no, I'll be honest: I do take pride in my structuring. I ghostwrote a lot of CivGeneral's more storywise pages (the dialogue will give it away), and as he got deeper into machinomics I coached him out of a weird habit of treating panels like a film reel that murdered the pacing. (Ironically, I actually tend to outline my own comics like a film script, and describe the visual layout in camera terms. :p )

@Thorvald: Cause your writing is top notch fr fr. Dang, I guess it depends if it works for the project, but thinking of it like a film script with visual layout makes so much sense!! :00 That’s something I’ll have to try out! It sounds like it’ll help with my visualization issues for sequences, I’m terrible a choosing what comes next xP

Adorable! How do you get such smooth line work?

Posted: Monday, 17 April, 2023 @ 07:32 PM

@BadKarma: x) i may add more floof in the future Oh! High stabilization or intersecting long swift lines to be erased later. Depends on the type of line work, but ctrl-z’s a bestie

This is pretty cute! The line art is well done and the colors work well together!

Whatever you decide to do this character is up to you, as they are your creation.

I 🩷 the colour palette you’ve chosen for this artwork, it looks so good! The pink foreground, mint background with the cream and brown clothing is very pleasing to the eye. My favourite part would have to be the ear piercing, it’s so funky!

@DaGrandDragonn: aw thank you! Pink and green combos never go wrong x) Glad the ear piercing added some funk :D My guy was looking a little too plain, and I dunno how to successfully do fur patterns yet, so an earring it was!
