The toxic side of the fandom did a lot of damage, yes, but one of many reasons why I never got into The Loud House was due to the hatedom being just as, if not more toxic, so I would refrain from generalizing. Take it from someone who was mocked just for liking Sonic back when it was "cool" and "trendy" to hate all Sonic fans.

I would also say DeviantArt's current mod base destroyed it rather than a small portion of their users, since they keep adding a bunch of useless features that no one asked for, and don't do much to improve the site at all.
